Today I created a fun paper chain template. Click on the thumbnail below to see a larger version and drag to your desktop to print it out and cut the strips and use to form a Christmas paper chain.

Paper Snowflakes
Now this is a pretty traditional craft that I remember doing many times as a kid. You start with a square piece of paper fold it in half twice to get a smaller square and then fold that into a triangle. Usually you then round the wide end of the triangle. Then you cut small shapes out to. When it is unfolded you have a beautiful snowflake. Now you can get more creative and use more complex shapes to cut out such as hearts, stars, and moons. Click on the thumbnails below to get a better idea of the different ways to make creative snowflakes. Also, please feel free to comment and tell about your unique cut out ways to make paper snowflakes more fancy.

Rest of Asia Letters
Here are the rest of the letters for Asia. I finished these a few days ago while my computer was getting repaired, but was not able to post them until I got my computer back. The I is for Indian Rupees and the A is for Amanohashidate, which is a sandy bridge in Japan with evergreens. Below is just the I letter. The A letter would not scan properly. The stupid scanner kept twisting it and not letting the whole thing be scanned no matter what I tried.

Silk Worms Continent Letter
Here is the second letter in my Asia set of letters. I did S for silk worms. I know what I am doing for the I, but have not made it yet. Not quite sure yet what I will do for the second A, though.

Asian Elephant Letter Coloring Page
I finally got around to starting a project I am doing for decorating my living room. I have seven walls in my living room the way it is designed and I am making each one devoted to my pictures and mementos from the seven continents. Part of the project is to draw letters to identify the wall's continent. Instead of doing normal letters I am also handdrawing a picture of something that starts with that letter and relates to the continent. This one is an A in Asia being an Asian Elephant.

White House Coloring Pages
While working on my D.C. cake theme for my birthday tomorrow I contemplated drawing the buildings, such as the White House. Thus I was looking for coloring pages to help base my own drawing. In the end I found I had a photo of the White House and used that, as that is what I had originally wanted to use, but did not know I had one. I figured that since I did locate several White House coloring pages during my search I might as well share them with my readers here. The links to them are below.

Sorry for Lack of Updates
I have been busy with my new job, getting settled, and working on my other blogs and have again kind of abandoned this blog. I am going to try to start posting some random coloring pages or crafts posts and not go by weekly themes for now. I am not going to guarantee updating this regularly, although I certainly want to try to post some new stuff every few days. I am still open to readers recommendations or themes they want me to look for coloring pages or crafts for them and will answer all requests or post recommendations as long as they are appropriate. Remember whenever you contribute by requesting a theme or recommending specific coloring pages or crafts your name and website will be included in the post, so thus promotion for your website.

Blog on Hold
I know I was just getting back to normal here, but I am going to have to put it on hold for another few weeks. I got a new job and am getting my stuff in order to move this week, so I do not have time to post. I hope to start back by the middle of September.

Sandcastle Craft
I found this interesting clay sandcastle craft. It looks like it would be fun to do when making a real one is not an option. It is also much cheaper than buying those indoor sand you have probably seen on television commercials.

Sandcastle Coloring Pages
Here are some fun sandcastle coloring pages. I will admit they are all pretty similar, however there are at least some differences. Perhaps maybe you could have your kids create some cool sandcastle coloring page of their own. Be sure to e-mail their creations to me at kjscrafts@gmail.com and I will share it on here.

Seashell Crafts
Live too far away to go to the beach or is it a rainy day, then try out these crafts listed below. These require shells. You can use real ones if you have any or get some craft ones (some places do sell real ones) at a local craft store.

Seashell Coloring
When I go to the beach my one of my favorite things to do is collect seashells. I love to just pile them up and photograph them. I rarely take many home. I leave them for others to rediscover. Here are some links to some seashell coloring pages.

Book Covers and Notebook Decorating
The below links are ideas to protect book and notebook covers or to make them look more appealing. With some luck your child may become more interested in opening their math book if they then got to decorate it and then because it is decorated.

Is your kid riding the school bus for the first time this year? Perhaps doing some school bus themed crafts will help them get ready for riding the bus. Or perhaps they will enjoy these crafts because they do ride the bus and love it.

Starting Back Up
I have been long absent from this blog, but as promised I am now back and plan to try to get back to regular posting. I did graduate in May. Over the summer I have been busy working close to full time at my babysitting job, working another part time job I got in April, and went on an extended vacation from Tucson to Chicago to North Dakota to Denver to Chicago to Michigan to Chicago and finally back home. Yes, I was all over the place on the plane, driving, and even a train ride. This week's content will by themed Back to School, as around where I live most of the kids are starting back yesterday or today.

Sorry No Posts
I have become overwhelmed with my final semester at University and will not be able to update this, especially since I am not getting viewer involvement at all. I do not plan to stop this blog forever, but for now I must stop. I may find myself less overwhelmed later in the semester, but at worst I will try to get back to making this blog after I graduate in May.
